Becci and John Renfro are artists from Wichita, Kansas who work in polymer and cloth over wire armature to produce one-of-a-kind Art Dolls/Figurative Sculptures.
They have been creating figures since 2000, and their work has been seen in Contemporary Doll Collector, Dolls Magazine, and Craft Report magazines, as well as the 2004 Dolls of Diversity calendar.  They have also shown their work in the Wichita Art Museum, the Wichita River Festival, and the Kansas City Doll Fair, where their figures won numerous first place awards, as well as Best of Show in category.
Becci has been a hairstylist for over 25 years, and regularly applies this wealth of knowledge to their figures, whether it is a style, a color, or creating an elaborate bouffant, braids, or dreadlocks.  She has always had a natural talent and interest in art, from sketching and painting to sculpture and fiber arts.  She studied the theatrical arts in college, providing costume creation and design, hairstyling and theatrical makeup for many plays, as well as fashion and stage shows.  All of these skills are transferred to her dolls and figures, from sculpting to handmade costumes and props.
John has a background in illustration and writing, as well as a Business degree.  An accomplished guitarist, his love of rock and its passion translate directly into the inspiration and design of the figures the couple create.  His interest in the new breed of high end, intricately detailed action figure sculptors led to the rapid development of his own sculpting skills.  Besides more traditional figures, John's darker sense of fantasy compliments Becci's slightly off-kilter ideas to provide inspiration and creation of other, non-traditional beings.
Most importantly, Becci and John love watching their figures grow to completion, taking on personality and life under their fingertips, and sharing them with the world, to watch the connection the viewer makes with their dolls, signaled by a sigh, a knowing smile, or a laugh.
